From our visit to the Arlington Comic Con on August 30th 2025, we learned a lot of important information about our customers and users. A few of the clients are listed below
Gran'ts gems was one of the vendors that was noticed to try and produce atmosphere. The young woman running Gran'ts Gems Nina Reynolds had placed umbrellas atop some scafolding around her store to make it a little cosier for people to visit. She mainly has a few folks who design the jerwlery while she gets in touch with suppliers and helps their designs get realized. One thing we also noticed about how she packaged the jewerly was that there were playing cards she was using to place the jewelry on. Upon further investigation from her website it also seems that the Gentleman she was set up next to was in fact her father. The first time I heard about the labubu's was at her store and she even had a sign telling people she had labubus. We also noticed upon viewing her website that she does custom commision requests for jewelry and earrings. Another thing we noticed was that it looks like both her and her father had about 70,000 dollars worth of merchandise stolen out of a trailer from them. There is a go fund me with more details about how to help and donate to help build up their business.
This was definilty an interesting client that we met at the Arlington Comic Con. This organization was there promoting Renissance festival types of events that happen in Palestine Texas. One of the representatives was Mike. The one thing we had in common was a common appreciation for World of Warcraft. We love that the site has a location for "quest giving" where people at the location can obtain quests and go on an adventure with other attendees together. The faire also includes shoppes, food, and live entertainment. In the long term this is something we would like to incorporate into our vision as well.
I think that this client is the easiest lead that we have for incorporating something into our service. He handed out an E-Book which I read and learned more about his charachters from. The story focused on the protagonist who is like "Deadpool as a vampire". One of the interesting themes was about how the main charcter tries to use it powers and strength to correct his misdeeds of the past and how that can still be a fallen path so to speak.
This creators name was Anthony Coffery. When we sat and spoke with him, we learned that his family was with him as well. I believe his wife was an aerospace engineer who used to work at Lockheed and if I didn't know any different, I believe his daughter had dressed up as a sailor moon charcter. We could tell that the whole family was there as a unit to promote the artistry. He had these figurines that looked professionally put together from a line he is working on called "Fantastical Felines". So far he had two options, one was called "Fire Sage" and the other one was called "Corrupted Fire Sage". We also learned that he had even taken the additional step of having his own box made to look like it was as professional as can be. That was one of those "Steve Jobs cares about the box the phone came in" kinda moments when we were looking at it.
This was the voice actor that one of the founders took to meeting and getting a photo with. Not only was this the eccentric J Peterman from Seindfeld, but it was also the voice of a charachter in Spongebob Squarepants.
